Agreement

These terms apply to RotMG Bot (the "bot") and this website. By adding the bot to a Discord server or using any of its commands you agree to them. If you do not agree, remove the bot and stop using it. The bot runs on Discord, so Discord's Terms of Service and Community Guidelines apply as well, including Discord's minimum age.

The bot is operated by Slidein ("we"). Reach us through the RotMG Bot Discord server, or a direct message to slidein on Discord.

What the bot does

The bot answers slash commands with information about Realm of the Mad God taken from public web pages, mainly RealmEye and the game's community wiki: players, guilds, items and dungeons. It also offers account linking, a trade board shared between servers, and Realm Runs, an idle game played entirely inside Discord. All of it is free.

The data comes from third parties and can be stale, incomplete or wrong. We do not verify it, and nothing the bot shows should be taken as a statement about the actual game.

Not affiliated with the game

RotMG Bot is an independent fan project. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by DECA Games or any other rights holder of Realm of the Mad God, nor by RealmEye. Realm of the Mad God, its name, characters, items and artwork belong to their respective owners and are shown for identification only. Any other trademarks belong to their owners.

Account linking

/link connects your Discord account to one in-game name by asking you to put a one-time code in your RealmEye description. You may only link a name that is yours. One in-game name can be linked to one Discord account. We may remove a link that appears to be fraudulent or used to circumvent limits, and you can remove it yourself at any time with /unlink.

Trade board

The trade board only displays offers. Trades happen in the game, between players, at their own risk. We do not hold items, take payments, act as an intermediary or guarantee that any party will follow through. When posting or responding to offers you must not:

offer or request real money or anything of real-world value, or otherwise breach the game's rules on trading;
post offers you do not intend to honour, or impersonate another player;
use the board to harass, scam or mislead anyone.

We may remove offers and revoke access to the board without notice.

Realm Runs

Realm Runs is a game inside Discord. Its characters, items, fame and rankings are virtual, have no monetary value, are not connected to any real game account and can never be exchanged for real items, real currency or anything else. We may rebalance, reset or remove any part of the game at any time, including progress, and we owe nothing for it.

Acceptable use

Do not automate commands, flood the bot or try to interfere with how it works.
Do not use the bot to look up, target or harass other people.
Do not try to gain access to data or features that are not offered to you.
Server administrators are responsible for how the bot is used in their server and for setting permissions accordingly.

Availability and changes

We may change, suspend or discontinue any part of the bot, or the whole bot, at any time and without notice. We do not promise any level of availability, response time or data retention. Stored data, including Realm Runs progress and trade offers, may be lost.

Termination

We may block users or servers that break these terms or otherwise harm the bot or its users. You can stop using the bot at any time by removing it from your server and, if you linked an account, running /unlink first.

Disclaimer and liability

The bot and this website are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and accuracy of information. To the fullest extent permitted by law we are not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of the bot, including losses in the game, failed or fraudulent trades between players, decisions taken on the basis of data the bot showed, or unavailability of the service. Nothing in these terms limits rights that consumer law gives you and that cannot be waived.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of Poland. If you are a consumer in the European Union you also keep the protection of the mandatory rules of the country you live in.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The date at the top tells you when they last changed. If you keep using the bot after a change, the new terms apply.
